Mt. Sterling First UMC is seeking a custodian.

Primary Functions:
The Custodian will support the ministry of the church by cleaning and maintaining the appearance of the facility. This is a part-time position (25-30 hours per week) for both
the church and Child Care Center (CCC). Primary functions include performing janitorial duties in preparation for Sunday morning usage of the church facility and other church
functions. Also, regular and daily cleaning and sanitizing for the CCC. Additional hours and work may be requested and negotiated for special programs, events and meetings
as needed.

Qualifications:
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and responsibly demonstrate ability to follow routine cleaning schedule in a timely manner .
This job requires stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling and twisting motions.  Applicant must be in good physical health.
Applicant must pass a background check. Applicant must fulfill employment requirements including having an understanding of the Personnel Policies in the Employee Handbook which
contain guidelines to prevent sexual misconduct with children and youth (Safe Sanctuary Policy)
Must be able to work cooperatively with Pastor, CCC Director, other staff and church leaders. The position is paid and considered a ministry of the congregation.
