Assistant to the District Superintendent Rev. David Cady

Effective July 1, 2015, Rev. Dr. David Cady was appointed to serve as the Assistant to the Superintendent of the Capitol Area South District. David and his wife, Amy, grew up in southeastern Ohio and were married in 1993. They have lived in central Ohio for the last two decades and currently reside in Powell. Together, they have three children: Bethany, who this  a student at The Ohio State University, Luke, a student at Olentangy Liberty High School, and Clay, a student at Olentangy Hyatts Middle School.

David received a B.A. and M.Ed. from Ohio University in 1990 and 1992, respectively. He has earned theological degrees from United Theological Seminary in 1998 (M. Div.) and from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2005 (D. Min.), where he was part of the Beeson Pastor Program.  David was ordained an Elder in the West Ohio Conference in 2001 and has served as Pastor of the Emmanuel / Pleasant View Charge (Circleville), the Summit Station United Methodist Church (Pataskala), and as an Associate Pastor at the Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church. Most recently David has served as the Senior Pastor at the Jerome United Methodist Church in the Dublin/Plain City area.

David serves on the Board of Ordained Ministry for the West Ohio Conference and has been involved in multiple mission trips, ranging from Appalachia to Viet Nam. In his free time, David enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in outdoor activities, and cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
